Editorial Material Flow 8-9/16
A breath of fresh air
It was almost exactly two years ago that I introduced myself to you, dear readers, as editor-in-chief, and since then we have initiated a number of changes. In 2015, we mainly adjusted the content and revised the market overviews and user statistics. This was followed a few weeks ago by the relaunch of http://www.materialfluss.de and the newsletter as well as the new magazine layout and logo, which we are presenting with this issue.

Materialfluss - the magazine for intralogistics: this is the new claim. It expresses the fact that the magazine sees itself as a publication for the industry - from stacker cranes to forklifts to containers, from ramps to multi-user centers, from pick-by-voice to warehouse management software. The layout, typography and imagery have been modernized and made more reader-friendly. In future, Materialfluss will also feature longer stories and allow more industry movers and shakers to have their say. In this issue, Dr. Johannes Fottner, designated successor to Prof. Dr. Willibald Günthner at the Chair of FML at the Technical University of Munich (page 8) and Hubert Kloß, CEO of Körber Logistic Systems, make the start on page 10.
On the last page of this issue, on the other hand, you will find someone you are guaranteed not to know yet: Our new columnist Intra Logistik will be commenting on the industry with a sharp tongue and pen from now on.
And finally, over the past two years, JM Fachmedien, together with its sister magazines "LT-manager" and "Baugewerbe Magazin", has become a small but excellent specialist publisher. I hope you enjoy reading this issue; your opinion on the new layout is very welcome and I look forward to receiving your e-mails.
Kind regards from Haar,
Martin Schrüfer Editor-in-Chief Material Flow, LT-manager
