50 million euro investment: pfenning logistics builds second "multicube"

pfenning logistics is building a multi-user logistics center in Monsheim near Worms. The logistics center located in Rheinhessen will be called "multicube rheinhessen" and is the second logistics center in Germany, after the "multicube rheinneckar", where the retail logistics specialist pfenning logistics is implementing an unusual real estate concept.
The multi-user logistics center, which meets a wide range of storage and logistics requirements, is being built on a total area of 101,000 m² and, based on the model of the "multicube rheinneckar", consists of individual hall modules with a total storage area of 55,000 m² and a mezzanine with just under 9,000 m². The advantage for users is that products from completely different sectors can be bundled at one location: FMCG food and non-food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive and e-commerce.
"We have already had very good experience with the multicube concept in Heddesheim, as it opens up flexible usage options for customers and transportation can be optimized by bundling locations," says Matthias Schadler, Managing Director of pfenning logistics. Winner of the Logix Award and the Platinum Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the multicube rheinneckar is one of the most sustainable real estate concepts for new industrial buildings in Europe.
The "multicube rheinhessen" is also set to become another excellent real estate project for pfenning logistics. Connected to road, rail and waterways, the location offers an excellent logistics infrastructure. pfenning logistics is investing around 50 million euros in the project. The completion date is the last quarter of 2018.
