Helmut Prieschenk, Managing Director of Witron Logistik + Informatik (9th place)
"The 2021 financial year was not only eventful, but above all successful for Witron: the company's 50th anniversary was celebrated "according to the circumstances" due to the pandemic, 120,000 m2 of additional production space for conveyor technology and control cabinet production was put into operation with the opening of the 200 million euro investment "Plant II North" and Group sales exceeded the billion euro mark for the first time in the company's history at 1.05 billion euros. Furthermore, a good 600 additional employees have joined the Witron team. The basis for the exclusively organic growth is the great trust of new and existing customers in Witron's automated end-to-end/omnichannel solutions. Even more challenging social and political conditions will continue to make our work exciting in the future. Nevertheless, we are also looking positively to the future in the coming year. With the optimal opportunities offered by the additional resources of Plant II North, highly motivated employees, new and existing solutions and a reassuring order situation - in combination with a unique corporate culture - we are happy to face the challenges together with our customers and project partners."
