Due to increasing demand, Bestseller automated its existing logistics center at the Taulov logistics site in Denmark. The clothing company chose Klinkhammer as its system integrator to optimally link a wide range of automated systems. The centerpiece is an Exotec system with 79 Skypod shuttle robots to ensure the high performance of the facility. The 10.50 meter high storage system is designed for around 51,000 trays. It can adapt flexibly to changing products, variants and order situations and is used for storage, order picking and also as an order consolidation buffer.

The special feature of the Exotec system is its scalability. Shelves can be extended during ongoing operations, picking stations can be added and Skypods can be added. Carton, container and pallet conveyor technology connects the Exotec system with the incoming goods and dispatch areas. A high degree of automation in carton handling with automatic erector, volume reducer and sealer as well as labeling reduces throughput times. Incoming goods will also be automated in a second construction phase in 2023 and equipped with a robot system for depalletizing and automatic carton opening. Robots will be used for palletizing in shipping. The palletizing robot detects mixed carton heights and automatically stacks the cartons on a pallet, which are then wrapped fully automatically and transported to loading. KlinkWARE is used as the material flow computer. As an all-round carefree package, Klinkhammer provides full service for the entire system with its own personnel on site. Maintenance and spare parts handling are also covered by this service.
