Intralogistics specialist SSI Schaefer and shuttle technology provider Moffett Automation are pooling their expertise to bring scalable, high-performance pallet shuttle solutions to the market. The aim of the partnership is to make it easier for small and medium-sized companies in particular to get started with automation. In addition to the need for scalable solutions, it is primarily structural restrictions such as low warehouse heights or complex warehouse layouts that prevent many companies from taking the step towards automation. This is where the intelligent, free-moving shuttles and integrated pallet storage systems come into play. The compact shuttles move independently through aisles, cross axes and levels, choose the most efficient route and deliver top performance even in deep-freeze conditions. The core of the collaboration is the combination of Moffett Automation's 4-way shuttle technology with SSI Schaefer's software expertise, including the WAMAS Warehouse Management System.

The next level of warehouse automation

The systems are modularly expandable, economical even with lower storage volumes and can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT structures. Markus Schellinger, Head of Market Sector Production Logistics at SSI Schaefer, explains: "With the expansion of our portfolio, we offer even better scalability and support our customers in their growth. Users also benefit from simple integration into existing WMS systems and smart route planning." The first joint projects are already in preparation. Both companies see the cooperation as a long-term partnership with the aim of further developing warehouse automation in the long term.
