Right before left in the warehouse thanks to the pick manager
The Pickmanager and the transport control system (TLS) from the Ehrhardt + Partner Group (EPG) are now optimizing traffic in the warehouse of Gebrüder Jaeger GmbH. In order to achieve maximum warehouse utilization in a new building, the Wuppertal-based company relies on the intelligent networking of the two EPG solutions. This enables full capacity utilization and the prioritization of transports to the connected production facility. At Jaeger, the TLS is networked with the Pickmanager. The existing ERP system transfers the data to the Pick Manager at goods receipt. This creates picking orders and forwards them to the transport control system. Pre-zone vehicles then take the pallets to one of the entry stations located in front of each of the nine narrow aisles. The TLS then generates a new transport order. This is transmitted to one of the two narrow-aisle stackers depending on the priority, the dimensions of the items and the distance of the registered means of transport to the location of the pallet. After successful storage, the pick manager reports the completion of the transport order to the ERP system.
