The logistics center in Hörsel, Thuringia, has an ideal geographical location in the middle of Germany. The facility, which specializes in multi-channel fulfillment, supplies retailers and end consumers with ready-to-sell items from the textile, footwear, sports, workwear and corporate goods segments. Up to 40,000 items can be transported, processed and handled daily in the multi-user logistics center. Up to 60 million parts can be processed and handled per year. The goods are picked gently and quickly using a 94-kilometer overhead conveyor system. Around 50,000 trolleys are available to transport the hanging garments on hangers. The logistics area on five levels can be flexibly expanded and extended with mezzanine levels and steel structures. A directly adjacent 90,000 square meter open space offers further potential for expansion.

Together with its energy efficiency partner Siemens, the building technology was recently extensively modernized. All hall fans were replaced. The ventilation system was renewed in accordance with DIN standard 6022. Light sources were exchanged and replaced with 11,650 highly efficient LED lights These comprehensive measures have reduced energy costs by 52 percent. CO2 emissions were also reduced by almost half.
