Thinking ahead: electricity from the roof
The transport company Rhyner Logistik now also supplies Swiss Denner supermarkets with a fully electric Renault Trucks D Wide Z.E. The special feature here is that the cooling system of the truck's cargo area is supplied with electricity from the photovoltaic system on the roof of the vehicle. The all-electric 26-ton Renault Trucks D Wide Z.E. now complements the Swiss transport company's fleet of 100 trucks. From now on, it will make environmentally friendly deliveries to Denner supermarkets in Zurich and the greater Zurich area, protecting the quality of life of Zurich residents thanks to its carbon dioxide-free and low-noise driving. Convinced that electromobility is the most suitable solution for achieving a neutral carbon footprint, Rhyner Logistik has also purchased a fast charging station.
