Autonomous through the city
With the LastMileCityLab, the city of Bruchsal is becoming an experience space for the urban logistics of the future. There, efeuCampus is working with project partners to test and develop innovative transport concepts and technologies as part of smart city concepts. Together with SEW-Eurodrive and other project partners, efeuCampus Bruchsal GmbH has now developed what it claims to be the first autonomously driving vehicle robot in Germany. It delivers parcels to residents on the last mile and takes returns or waste with it. New technologies ensure that the delivery robots drive safely and do not endanger anyone. The development of the robot represents the first milestone of the efeuCampus innovation center In addition to the delivery robot for the road, the Volodrone from Volocopter will also be used in the air in the future.
