At the 12th general meeting at Grieshaber Logistik in Weingarten, 32 of the current 84 member companies were represented. The board elections were held online in advance with a voter turnout of over two thirds. New members of the board are Carsten Wachtendorf (AIS alfaplan GmbH), Peter Wachinger (Oskar Schunck GmbH), Simon Pflüger (IHK Ulm), Julia Boppert (trilogIQa) and Johannes Birzele (Dachser SE). Jochen Wild (Max Wild GmbH), Peter Stöferle (IHK Schwaben) and Ralph Ehmann (IWL AG) are continuing their work on the Board.

At the constituent meeting on July 25, 2023, the board elected Julia Boppert as Chairwoman. The board team has placed the topics of digitalization, skills shortages and supply chain resilience at the heart of the association's work. The focus is on the topics of AI and automation as well as initiating suitable collaborations between companies and start-ups.

The Executive Board would like to strengthen Swabia as a logistics location through targeted activities and better network all those involved along the supply chain. An analysis of the opportunities and challenges, but also the risks, should lead to suitable measures.

The first major working meeting of the voluntary Board of Directors is planned for September 14, 2023. Chairwoman Julia Boppert: "As a Board team, we are determined to accompany the ongoing opportunity process with commitment, but also with a sense of proportion. We will concretize our ideas and define the first steps in order to network as many companies as possible in the association."

Petra Engstler-Karrasch, Karen Klement, Ulrich Gruber and Petra Straub were dismissed from the Board. Christian Schulz will continue his work as cash auditor together with Jürgen Fink, who replaces Christian Schober. Managing Director Ingrid Eibner: "Our new board team is a balanced mix of different areas of logistics. It reflects the structure of our association members and brings together a variety of experience, skills and perspectives. We are therefore ideally positioned to strengthen logistics in the Swabia region.
