Printing on the Box with Sparck
Large-scale mail order companies rely on the CVP Everest packaging system from Sparck Technologies in the Netherlands. The solution, which was launched in 2020, measures, cuts, folds, glues and labels up to 1,100 customized transport boxes per hour.
The little sister of this machine, the CVP Impack, produces up to 500 perfectly fitting parcels per hour. With both machines, shippers save money and protect the environment, according to the manufacturer; there is less transport volume and therefore less transport costs. In addition, the precision-fit parcels meet the wishes of consumers who no longer want parcels with a lot of filling material. The automated packaging process starts with a 3D scanner that measures the shipping items, then a box is cut out of continuous corrugated cardboard, folded, closed, glued and labeled. With a printed slogan, logo or even an individual message, senders can also surprise the recipient in a positive way.
