SSI Schäfer: Modern intralogistics for pharmaceutical products
Postnord TPL AB, a leading provider of communication and logistics solutions in Scandinavia, together with Apotek Hjärtat AB, has commissioned SSI Schaefer with the intralogistics for its central pharmaceutical logistics center in Norrköping, Sweden. In addition to material flow planning and a logistics concept, the project includes equipping various warehouse areas with modern automation systems, corresponding picking strategies and comprehensive software support. The customized solution is also designed for picking e-commerce orders. Among other things, the fully automated picking system A-Frame, the single-level shuttle system Cuby and the Schäfer Carousel System will be implemented. The Wamas logistics software from SSI Schaefer is responsible for managing the warehouse and the coordinated process control of order production.
