Kardex Germany: Picking small parts faster and consuming less energy
As the first member of the new Vertical Buffer Module product family, Kardex Remstar launched the LR 35 automated storage system at the beginning of 2016. The solution is suitable for companies with a large variety of items, high availability requirements and very dynamic business growth. The Kardex Remstar LR 35 is particularly suitable for the storage and retrieval of light, small-volume items. With its high picking performance, it is suitable for many areas of application: supplying a production line with a high variety of items, as a buffer store in assembly or for picking C-parts in the distribution warehouse. Up to 500 order items per hour can be realized per picking station. The compact intralogistics unit can be easily installed and scaled as required without the need for complex system planning. Consistently designed for lightweight construction, the unit consumes only a third of the energy of a miniload system. Within the Kardex Remstar LR 35, trays and containers can be stored mixed at up to four different storage levels.
