Even stronger together

That's clear. The math is right: 5 + 3 is still 8 and not 9. But still: when several magazines come together in one publishing house, the result is usually more than the sum of the individual titles.

This is also the case with materialfluss, the magazine for intralogistics: with effect from August 1, the specialist publisher WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN has taken over the magazine for intralogistics and its sister magazines LT-manager and Baugewerbe Unternehmermagazin. High-quality and renowned trade journals such as handling, SCOPE, LABO, Kunststoff Magazin, engine and smart engineering are now united under one roof, but at several locations.

You, dear readers, can continue to rely on us: The team, consisting of my colleagues Ms. Hedwig Michl in sales, Ms. Elfriede Sanktjohanser as assistant and myself, will continue to be your contact for materialfluss.

And I personally am very much looking forward to the new colleagues, working with you and the opportunities that a modern and large publishing house offers for the further development of the titles.

This issue marks the start of an exciting fall, in which you can read more about us than usual: Even before materialfluss issue 10/17, the special issue "materialfluss PORTRÄT EINER BRANCHE 2017/2018" will be published on October 12, 2017. The new edition contains information on numerous logistics companies and their services - a classic since its first issue in 1975. But first, I hope you enjoy the current issue and its focus on cranes and components. The round table on this topic has become very lively and is certainly worth a read thanks to the concentrated industry expertise represented there.
