Print and drink coffee with ProLogis

lujoClean supplies its care and cleaning products for coffee machines to end customers, specialist wholesalers, the catering trade and manufacturers of espresso machines and coffee makers - each with individual labels. In order to maintain the necessary flexibility, reduce printing costs and optimize work processes, lujoClean opted for an Epson ColorWorks C7500 color label printer from ProLogis at the beginning of the year.

As the right care contributes significantly to coffee enjoyment in practice, lujoClean precisely adapts its products, from milk foam cleaner to descaler and machine cleaners, to the most diverse variations of coffee preparation. With the first-class quality of its products, the company has established itself worldwide over the last 15 years and is represented in the DACH region, Scandinavia, Poland, Dubai, Korea and Australia, among others. In addition, lujoClean lives an active service culture and attaches great importance to fast delivery times and high-quality labeling for the respective customer - lujoClean offers individual color labels on request from very small purchase quantities. During implementation, all product requirements, such as the size and weight of the cleaning tablets, must be mapped individually and in line with the brand. The challenge here lies in the production of durable, smudge-, water- and solvent-resistant labels as well as in the fluctuating print runs and the widely varying label designs and sizes.

The Epson ColorWorks C7500 is available from ProLogis. As an Epson Color Label+ Gold Partner, the company is regarded as one of Europe's leading dealers for Epson printers, receives comprehensive product training and, as a service partner, is able to maintain all devices in its own workshops and carry out all service and warranty work.

Fast printing even for short runs

The customer-specific labeling of its products has long been an integral part of lujoClean's service portfolio, but the color label printer it had been using left a lot to be desired in terms of speed, ease of use and material consumption. For this reason, lujoClean had been looking for a long time for a color label system that would meet its high quality standards and tested a number of devices, but the functionality and quality of the labels were not convincing. In addition, the companies offering the products were not very committed or service-oriented, which is also a decisive criterion for lujoClean. In the autumn of 2015, lujoClean once again focused intensively on selecting a suitable color printing system and made an enquiry with ProLogis. "For us, flawless, individual labels are a real competitive advantage and the importance of such a device is correspondingly high," says Ludwig Jorgas, owner of lujoClean. "After extensive research, ProLogis convinced us with the EPSON ColorWorks C7500. We compared various printers and opted for the device that we felt was far superior."

Cost-effective and flexible in-house solution

The Epson ColorWorks C7500 has been in use since the beginning of 2016, and since then the company has already produced a six-figure number of labels, with individual designs and as required in any print run, from very small quantities to larger orders of several thousand pieces. "We are very satisfied," confirms Oliver Jorgas, son and second owner. "The device is a huge relief for us and our customers appreciate the high-quality labels, because the quality of the printer and the materials for labels and ink is outstanding."

For lujoClean, every printing process since then has meant a step towards greater economy and efficiency. The EPSON ColorWorks C7500 works quickly and allows labels to be quickly changed to other formats. In addition, operation is uncomplicated and intuitive, so that not many settings are necessary for a satisfactory result. Accessories such as ink and labels are supplied quickly and reliably by ProLogis. "We have a high shipping volume and are therefore dependent on absolute reliability," adds Oliver Jorgas. "We are known among our customers for our fast delivery times. It's not acceptable for the printer to malfunction or for delays to occur." Waste has also been significantly reduced, as the device does not continue printing when individual color cartridges are empty, for example. Overall, the consumption costs for the company are extremely low, the C7500 uses ink very sparingly and is as resilient as it is low-maintenance.

"We were impressed by ProLogis' competent and friendly approach right from the start," says Ludwig Jorgas. "The service orientation is simply outstanding and the response times are remarkably fast. The experts from ProLogis demonstrated the printer on site shortly after our inquiry, printed sample labels and have provided perfect service so far."

Felix Deseler, Head of Sales at ProLogis, explains: "We are delighted that lujoClean has chosen us and is so satisfied with the printer and our services. In general, we are seeing a very high level of acceptance for the Epson C7500 among our customers, and the device has so far proven itself to be excellent, even with very high print volumes."
