State-of-the-art logistics center for Misumi
Misumi, a global manufacturer of mechanical components, has commissioned SSI Schaefer to implement a new logistics center in Frankfurt/Main. By the beginning of 2020, the distribution center will be implemented in several expansion stages with a capacity for 450,000 items on over 10,000 m2 of storage space.
The core elements of the system are an automatic shuttle warehouse, a four-storey racking system, ergonomic workstations connected via conveyor technology and the Wamas logistics software. "Quality, competitive prices and high speed are our recipe for maximum customer satisfaction. With the help of efficient logistics structures, we will continue to strengthen these principles in the future. The total investment volume underlines the great potential that we see in Germany and Europe," says Jörg Gonnermann, General Manager Logistics Service Platform at Misumi, explaining why SSI Schaefer was awarded the contract.
