Company acquisition
MiniTec takes over Schulz Fördertechnik
The machine and plant manufacturer MiniTec has acquired Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH. In doing so, MiniTec aims to open up new opportunities in the field of conveyor systems and market access.
Schulz Fördertechnik focuses on the supply and assembly of conveyor belts and the construction of individual conveyor systems with steel and stainless steel frames. A good year ago, the company turned to MiniTec in its search for a successor. After comparing Schulz's range of services with its own portfolio, MiniTec's management decided to take over the company on January 1, 2024.
There are several reasons for the purchase: Schulz also supplies customers from the food and pharmaceutical sectors. MiniTec was previously only able to serve these sectors with restrictions due to the special hygiene requirements.
Synergies created by the company acquisition
Managing Director Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch explained: "Stainless steel is better suited to this environment than aluminum. This is why we are expanding our industry spectrum to include extremely interesting target groups through this acquisition." In general, the purchase would result in important synergy effects: "Schulz's range extends from conveyor belts of all kinds to chain conveyors, small conveyors, modular belt conveyors, belt conveyors, belt conveyors and roller conveyors through to hinged belt conveyors. We clearly benefit from the many years of know-how we have acquired here. Conversely, we can contribute our expertise in the field of automation."
In addition to the advantages for plant engineering, there are also prospects in the product and service area. Thanks to the extensive stock, conveyor belts can be produced and assembled to customer specifications at short notice.
The company name "Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH" and its headquarters at Industriestraße 34 in 66914 Waldmohr will remain unchanged until further notice. The long-standing Managing Director Wolfgang Wasemann will also retain this role and share the management with Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch as Co-Managing Director
