Full automation at electrical wholesaler
Electrical wholesaler Elettroveneta SpA has commissioned Daifuku, a provider of material handling solutions, to supply an automated shuttle storage system for containers at its main distribution center in Tribano, Italy.
Elettroveneta receives thousands of orders every day. To ensure that customers receive them the next day, the company commissioned Daifkuku to set up an automated shuttle warehouse system. The small parts warehouse has space for 37,000 containers. The shuttle warehouse supplies six picking workstations with storage containers - at the same time, partially picked order containers are transported back into the storage system. A conveyor system transports the goods from incoming goods to the small parts warehouse or to outgoing goods.
