New cargo flights from Frankfurt and Zurich
United Airlines further expands airfreight capacities
In line with market demand, United Airlines has further expanded its air freight capacities between the USA and Europe. The Frankfurt location is particularly important in this respect. New flights to Atlanta have recently been added to the already extensive offering at Germany's largest airport. Five times a week, a Boeing 787-10, loaded with cargo only, takes off from Frankfurt for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
There are now a total of 49 United flights a week from Frankfurt to the USA (in addition to Atlanta also to New York/Newark, Chicago, Denver, Houston, San Francisco and Washington, DC), on which air freight is transported. This makes Frankfurt currently the city with the largest number of United flights within Europe.
United has also launched a cargo-only service between Zurich and New York/Newark. The airline operates this route three times a week with a Boeing 787-9. In addition to flights to and from Frankfurt and Zurich, United currently also offers cargo capacity to the USA on routes across the Atlantic from Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, London, Milan, Munich, Paris and Rome as well as Delhi, Mumbai and Tel Aviv.
In addition to full and part charter flights, United also offers freight forwarders and shippers a whole range of other important services. These include the use of the United Truck networks in Europe and the USA as well as the United TempControl Service for pharmaceutical and temperature-controlled transportation. In addition, several freight destinations can be combined in one ULD (Unit Load Device) using multi-master pallets.
