"The expanded area of responsibility offers us the opportunity to create new synergies within the company, learn even more from each other and grow faster," says Helmut Schmid. "My primary focus is now on establishing an efficient, overarching organizational and communication structure between the individual countries."

The manager joined Universal Robots in 2016 and, as General Manager Western Europe, has been responsible for the expansion of the rapidly growing core market of Western Europe. Under his leadership, the German subsidiary was founded in autumn 2016, the UR team and sales structure in the region were continuously expanded and services and training centers were extended. "The responsibility for additional regions is a fantastic confirmation of what we have already achieved so far," he says. "It is particularly important for me to take everyone with me on this new journey and to always listen to the individual needs of each region and employee. I look forward to achieving new successes together."

Denmark, Universal Robots' home market, will play a special role in Schmid's new range of tasks. Today, the country has the world's highest density of robots in the field of lightweight robotics and a particularly high level of public attention.
