Omega 1 Bukit Raja in Selangor, Malaysia, is expected to be ALP's largest automated warehouse in Southeast Asia. It covers an area of 1.8 million m² and has a value of 180 million US dollars. In addition, the company plans to invest one billion US dollars in Malaysia to develop advanced smart warehouse solutions and further promote the country's logistics industry. According to the company, one of the key benefits of Omega is the smart logistics infrastructure that the facility provides, including SSI Schaefer's racking solutions. This effectively eliminates the need for ALP's customers to make their own significant investments in automation.

Flexible pay-as-you-use rental models

According to studies by the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, supply chains are increasingly shifting from China to many Southeast Asian countries. In view of the changing supply chains, companies in the region need intelligent, scalable storage facilities in particular. Omega aims to fill this gap with the storage capacity of the SSI Schaefer high-bay warehouse, the flexibility of pay-as-you-use rental models and the new digital and future-proof automation solutions. The facility is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2024 and aims to increase the fulfillment capacity of the Malaysian logistics and intralogistics industry.
