Intralogistics at first hand
The 16th LogiMAT is already breaking numerous records before its opening in March. Never before have trade visitors been able to compare the offerings of so many international exhibitors in one place. The overarching central theme is the integration of modern technologies and materials into future-proof solutions for the challenges of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0.

With renewed growth, the 16th LogiMAT once again underlines the importance of the trade fair as a leading international information platform and "working trade fair" for direct business transactions in the intralogistics industry. More than 1,500 exhibitors, a quarter of them from other European countries and overseas, will be presenting "Intralogistics at first hand: Digital - Connected - Innovative" at LogiMAT in Stuttgart from March 13 to 15, 2018. LogiMAT will be the first guest event to occupy the entire Stuttgart exhibition grounds, including the new Hall 10.
On 117,000 square meters of exhibition space, exhibitors from almost 40 countries, including around 360 new exhibitors and more than 50 suppliers from Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan and the USA, will showcase their range of products and solutions for efficient intralogistics processes. "LogiMAT is internationally established among exhibitors and trade visitors as the annual event for intralogistics and process management," says Exhibition Director Peter Kazander, Managing Director of LogiMAT organizer Euroexpo Messe-und Kongress-GmbH, Munich. "A presence at LogiMAT is an absolute must for every company that deals with intralogistics topics as a supplier or user. We can prove this with all the figures that are decisive for a trade fair and determined by the Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics (FKM) as well as the judgment of exhibitors and trade visitors."
The overarching central theme of the exhibitors is the integration of modern technologies and materials into future-proof solutions for the challenges of Industry 4.0, Logistics 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT) and the associated digitalization. "This is reflected in the motto of LogiMAT 2018, as well as the sustainable theme of 'Collaboration between man and machine'," emphasizes Kazander. "The majority of international exhibitors will be presenting intelligent and innovative solutions for the current challenges in intralogistics - often as world premieres."

Exhibitors from the AutoID and packaging technology sectors will be presenting themselves in Halls 4 and 6 as well as in the entrance area of the trade fair. They will be showcasing a spectrum ranging from new high-performance packaging lines, packing stations with camera-based object recognition, 3D packing schemes and intelligent reusable packaging to innovative scanner hardware, RTLS and RFID solutions and the integration of augmented reality, as well as radio-controlled digital labels, e-paper labels and labels with a lotus effect. "LogiMAT is a key trade fair and networking platform for the AutoID community," emphasizes Peter Altes, Managing Director of AIM-D e.V. In the newly created exhibition area "Intelligent Container and Warehouse Solutions" in Hall 6, corresponding cross-industry complete solutions from leading international suppliers can also be seen.
In Halls 1, 3, 5 and 7, conveyor technology and system manufacturers will be showcasing their latest new developments for efficient goods flows and smooth cooperation between man and machine or robot. New shuttle solutions and combined storage/picking systems will be presented for the first time. The exhibits will also include compact, complete SME solutions for automated small parts warehouses, including conveyor technology, picking stations and software, as well as innovations such as free-moving, driverless storage and retrieval machines (SRMs) for racking systems. In addition, suppliers will be presenting new, software-supported tools for assembly and logistics planning in 3D. In Hall 7, trade visitors will also find a large number of suppliers of innovative fire protection devices and solutions.
About LogiMAT
LogiMAT, the 16th International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management, will take place from March 13 to 15 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center directly at the airport and is now regarded as the world's largest trade fair for intralogistics. It offers a complete market overview of everything that moves the intralogistics industry, from procurement to production and delivery. International exhibitors present innovative technologies, products, systems and solutions for the rationalization, process optimization and cost reduction of internal logistics processes right at the beginning of the year.
The further development of driverless transport systems, assistance systems and electrification will determine the forklift manufacturers' presentations in Halls 9 and 10. Several manufacturers will use LogiMAT to present completely new products in the field of industrial truck technology to the international trade audience. For example, new counterbalance trucks, narrow-aisle trucks and industrial truck series, a 48-volt electric sideloader for small businesses, a hoist series with integrated NFC sensor and service app as well as new PC and vehicle terminal solutions for smooth information exchange will be making their debut at LogiMAT. At the same time, exhibitors will cover the growing demand for energy-efficient electrification of goods flows with innovations in the field of battery technology. "LogiMAT has established itself internationally as one of the most important trade fairs for the industrial truck industry," says Ken Dufford, Crown Vice President Europe, summarizing the importance of LogiMAT for the industry segment.

The basis for the networked exchange of information in intralogistics and the supply chain, alongside AutoID technologies for coding and recording, is an intelligent IT infrastructure. In Halls 8 and 10, software companies will be presenting their new developments and solutions for future-proof warehouse, transport and supply chain management with end-to-end networked data exchange.
"Nowhere else in 2018 will trade visitors find a more comprehensive overview of intralogistics than in Stuttgart in March," explains Exhibition Director Kazander. "Despite all this, LogiMAT remains the trade fair with the shortest routes thanks to the newly designed entrance via the West Entrance."
