Shuttle warehouse with 90,000 parking spaces
Albert Kerbl relies on TGW Logistics
Albert Kerbl GmbH is expanding its logistics center in the Bavarian municipality of Ampfing by October 2025. The company, which produces and distributes articles for animal breeding and husbandry, relies on the experience of TGW Logistics.
Albert Kerbl GmbH was founded in 1984 as a small agricultural business with five employees. Today, more than 700 employees work for the company at locations in Germany, Austria, Poland, France and the UK. In order to significantly reduce order processing times and increase efficiency, the specialist for animal breeding and husbandry relies on automation - and on the cooperation with TGW Logistics.
Many years of cooperation
"We have a long-standing partnership with Albert Kerbl. We are very pleased that the customer is once again relying on the expertise and experience of TGW Logistics for the expansion of its logistics center: This is a great vote of confidence," emphasizes Thomas Berndorfer, CFO Central Europe of TGW Logistics. "Together, we are now starting the next stage of the automation journey."
Goods-to-person picking ensures speed
At the heart of the FlashPick system is a three-aisle shuttle warehouse with 90,000 storage locations, an automated pallet high-bay warehouse and ergonomic PickCenter One picking workstations. The various areas of the system are connected with energy-efficient KingDrive conveyor technology, and all processes are controlled and monitored by the TGW Warehouse software. The automation enables shorter order throughput times and increases efficiency.
