Kasto: Saves electricity with every storage process
Kasto has developed a special concept for energy recovery and storage for its storage systems. Excess kinetic energy can be converted into electricity, temporarily stored and used flexibly - this reduces the operating and investment costs as well as the CO2 emissions of the warehouse technology. The electrical circuits of the drive axes of the storage and retrieval machine (SRM) are connected via a DC link. The recovered energy is stored in double-layer capacitors. Thanks to an almost constant power draw from the mains, the mains peripherals can operate at nominal load. This allows users to reduce the connected load of the RBG by more than 50 percent.
