Finalists for the IFOY Award have been announced
Munich, 09.01.2018 - The finalists for the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award 2018 have been announced. The jury has nominated 13 devices and solutions from the brands BYD, Jungheinrich, Liebherr, J. D. Neuhaus, Still, Gebr. Schulte, Wegard and Witron for the IFOY Award 2018 final round.
The finalists will compete in the second round at the international IFOY Test Days in February at the premises of IFOY partner CeMAT. The IFOY Test measures the hard facts, while the scientific IFOY Innovation Check, which is compiled by specialists from the Dortmund Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), the Chair of Technical Logistics at the University of Dresden and the Chair of Machine Elements and Technical Logistics at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, assesses the innovation value. In addition, the jurors drive and evaluate all nominated devices themselves. Among other things, the innovative value, technology, design, ergonomics and handling, safety, marketability and customer benefits as well as cost-effectiveness and sustainability are assessed. The winners are selected by a jury made up of 26 renowned trade journalists from leading logistics media in 18 countries around the world. The trophies will be awarded on the opening evening of the CeMAT intralogistics trade fair in Hanover. red
