Hardware-independent dialog system
With the new pL Voice App, Dortmund-based Pro Logistik presents the first manufacturer-independent speech recognition app for dialog systems of its kind in Europe. With the pL Voice App, users can now carry out voice-guided work processes on mobile computing clients from proLogistik as well as on Android 10-based mobile devices.
A number of commercially available mobile terminals have already been qualified for the app by proLogistik. In addition to this flexibility, users of the pL Voice App also benefit from the latest expansion stage of the integrated speech recognizer, which offers improved speech understanding, as well as further optimized user-friendliness. Customers can choose to use the pL Voice App either as part of a complete pick-by-voice solution from Pro Logistik or as an add-on application on existing, compatible devices. The latter gives users who already work with dialog terminals the option of using an existing pool of device batteries and headsets as well as being able to continue using an existing charging infrastructure unchanged.
With the pL Voice app, Pro Logistik has placed particular emphasis on an improved user experience. The app can be configured via the device screen and parameters such as language, volume and brightness can be set, allowing users to define their own individual operating scenario. The app's new speech recognition technology, which has been improved in terms of input, output and speed, also offers a new user experience. It has been specially adapted to the logistics field of application, meaning that common logistics terms are recognized quickly and without a doubt. This ensures efficient, speedy work without comprehension problems.
