On October 1, Tobias Gercke (48) took over the management of the Räder-Vogel family business. The managing partners Dieter Henning (79) and his son Carsten Henning (50) are leaving the operational management of the company. Both shareholders are moving to the company's advisory board.

Dieter Henning has managed the Hamburg-based wheel and castor manufacturer since 1980 and took over with his son Carsten in 2005. Under their leadership, the company has expanded steadily and now has a turnover of over 100 million euros (a more precise figure is not given in the press release).

Tobias Gercke: From turner to managing director

Tobias Gercke joined Räder-Vogel in 1995 as a lathe operator. He climbed up the career ladder via in-service training to become a master craftsman and finally a technical business administrator (IHK). He has been Technical Director since 2011 and has been responsible for technology and production at the 600-strong Hamburg-based company ever since.

"We are delighted that we have been able to recruit our longstanding senior employee Tobias Gercke as Managing Director. He has been with our company for 27 years and has taken on more and more responsibility over the years," says Dieter Henning. "We are convinced that he will continue the company's positive development."

"Tobias Gercke is highly respected by the shareholders as well as by our employees, customers and suppliers. He is a strong leader, a likeable colleague with a high level of technical expertise who is very familiar with all areas of the company," adds Carsten Henning.

"Räder-Vogel is an exciting and highly innovative company with committed employees, which has been my professional home for many years. I am delighted to be able to play a key role in shaping the future of this company," says Tobias Gercke.
