With the arrival of Heiken at Hellmann, the new appointment to the Management Board has been successfully completed. Heiken, who has a degree in nautical engineering, can now draw on over 20 years of experience in all logistics sectors - from air and sea freight and contract logistics to rail and road transportation. Dr. Michael Noth became CFO at Hellmann at the beginning of August. Noth was formerly CFO at Nordzucker AG. Jost Hellmann will relinquish his position as Chief Sales Officer at the end of the year due to his age.

From the beginning of 2019, Hellmann will therefore have a Management Board made up exclusively of external managers, but will continue to enjoy the full support of the two family members Jost and Klaus Hellmann. The two shareholders will continue to be directly or indirectly represented on the Supervisory Board with one vote each, but have also brought a great deal of expertise into the company with five Supervisory Board members from outside the family.

Under the leadership of restructuring specialist Dr. Thomas Knecht as CEO and CRO and Jost Hellmann as CCO, the Hellmann Group has undergone a comprehensive restructuring program in recent years. Key elements of this program included the establishment of three product divisions with clear strategic objectives, the transformation of the holding company's legal form into a European stock corporation and a realignment of the Hellmann Group. With the end of the restructuring phase, Dr. Knecht is now handing over the management of the Hellmann Group to a management team of industry experts at short notice and in agreement with the Supervisory Board.
