Helmut Schweighofer becomes European Head of DB Schenker
Helmut Schweighofer is the new CEO of DB Schenker Europe. Most recently, he was CEO of DB Schenker in Austria and Southeast Europe.
In his new position, he is responsible for DB Schenker's European business - with over 46,000 employees, 38 European country organizations and a total turnover of around 12 billion euros, this is the international logistics service provider's largest business region worldwide. Schweighofer began his career at DB Schenker 30 years ago as an apprentice, studied international corporate management and held various positions within the Group in England, Bulgaria and Vorarlberg. He has been a member of the Management Board of DB Schenker in Austria and Southeast Europe since 2013 and took over as Chairman of the Management Board in February 2016. As CEO of DB Schenker Europe, Schweighofer manages 38 countries from Frankfurt am Main, divided into 12 clusters. Helmut Schweighofer sees his central tasks as "sustainably positioning DB Schenker as a quality leader and further expanding the company's success." Responsibilities are to be clearly defined, existing potential exploited and existing processes optimized.
