Takeover
Rhenus takes over Nellen & Quack Logistik
The logistics service provider Rhenus will take over the shares of the Lower Rhine freight forwarder Nellen & Quack at the beginning of January, subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. Rhenus would like to strengthen its presence in North Rhine-Westphalia with this acquisition.
The Rhenus Group takes over the entire freight forwarding business with all its employees, customers and assets. Nellen & Quack's business activities focus on warehouse logistics, particularly national and international groupage freight and part and full load transportation. The forwarding company comprises a 7,500 square meter handling facility equipped with 96 gates, as well as 15,800 square meters of logistics space at the Mönchengladbach site.
"It's important for the Rhenus Group to expand its existing network in the interests of its customers in view of the increasing volume of traffic, infrastructural problems and the resulting increase in traffic jams. This will enable us to respond more flexibly to customer requests and be a reliable partner for cooperative ventures and other freight forwarding companies in North Rhine-Westphalia," said Thilo Streck, Managing Director of Rhenus Freight Logistics.
