Increased demand for efficient logistics solutions
Change is the only constant in a world of new customer requirements and the resulting new processes and business models. Reliable availability of goods, efficient production supply and flexible omnichanneling set the tone in almost every industry and are basic requirements. However, the solutions for internal material flow are different and can only be fulfilled with industry-specific expertise.
As one of the global market leaders and drivers of innovation in intralogistics, we at SSI Schaefer have formed ourselves accordingly - with a consistent market sector focus in expert teams worldwide. We differentiate between "Food Logistics" in retail and industry and can thus develop customized success concepts for both sectors.
Food itself requires special care and presents companies - be they retailers or producers - with special challenges: In addition to cost-effectiveness and efficiency, the highest standards of quality, freshness and hygiene are factors that significantly define the transportation, storage and picking processes.
In addition, changes in consumer eating habits, the year-round availability of goods, the increase in single households and the growing demand for convenience products are leading to significant growth in the already broad product portfolio. These permanent changes need to be met with highly efficient logistics solutions. The traceability of goods using integrated IT solutions also plays a role. SSI Schaefer offers high-performance and scalable application options here with its own logistics software WAMAS, but also in SAP EWM.
We take care of our customers' needs and develop intralogistics solutions from the initial idea to the complete turnkey system, including logistics software and service offerings for success in the food trade and industry.
