The Milan-based company has around 70 employees at six locations and has been providing all sea and air freight services in Italy as a partner for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics since it was founded in 2006. With this takeover, Hellmann is expanding into an important European logistics market and not only completes the Hellmann network in the central Alpine region, but also strengthens its presence in the Mediterranean region, which is strategically important for global sea freight. In future, Hellmann will expand its range of services via its own national company in Italy and offer its Italian and international customers a more comprehensive service.

The operational business in Italy will continue to be managed by Daniela Coppola, who, as a long-standing and experienced Managing Director of Hellmann Italy, will ensure the seamless continuation of activities. "The organic integration of Hellmann Italy into the global Hellmann network will enable us to better exploit the market potential in Italy and open up new business areas," says Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. "We are delighted to now be an integral part of the global Hellmann network. After years of partnership-based cooperation, the merger with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is an important strategic step towards strengthening Hellmann Italy in the long term and enabling us to operate even more globally. The merger will enable us to offer our customers an even more attractive product portfolio," adds Daniela Coppola, Managing Director, Hellmann Italy.
