Airbus extends contract with logistics service provider Honold LTS
Honold LTS Logistik has been the logistics service provider for Airbus subsidiary Premium Aerotec in Augsburg for many years. Recently, the joint venture also expanded its activities at the Airbus sites in Bremen and Stade. One of the most modern fully automated container warehouses (AKL) in Germany is operated in the impressive 22,500 square meter building in Augsburg.
With their many years of experience and expertise, the logistics experts supply the customer with materials for aircraft structure construction. In internal transportation, Honold LTS Logistik delivers just-in-sequence to more than 400 stations within the 4 plant sections in Augsburg. On top of this, the logistics experts collect manufactured individual parts and sections from production, pack them and ship the products to the respective end customers of Premium Aerotec.
After winning tenders for Airbus logistics in Bremen and Stade in recent years, a major success was also achieved in Augsburg shortly before Christmas. The company was able to prevail over its competitors in the regular tendering process thanks to its customized concepts and the quality, reliability and flexibility it demonstrates on a daily basis.
"We are very much looking forward to the continued partnership with Premium Aerotec at the Augsburg site. Together with the customer, we want to further develop the production supply accordingly and take logistics to the "next level" with a large number of planned individual projects," said Managing Directors Andreas Freymark and Markus Meier in unison.
