Ground-breaking ceremony for multicube rheinhessen

Construction work on the multicube rheinhessen has begun in Monsheim near Worms with the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. The logistics service provider and building owner pfenning Group wants to continue the success story of the first multicube with this logistics center.

At the ceremony, Rana Matthias Nag, Managing Director of the pfenning Group, praised the unbureaucratic and decisive settlement policy of the municipality of Monsheim, which includes seven independent local communities. In other locations in Germany, it has sometimes taken years to get the green light for a new construction project. Not so in Monsheim.

"As a medium-sized logistics company, we not only feel very welcome in Monsheim, but also optimally supported," said Nag, addressing the mayor of the association, Ralph Bothe (SPD). "With your support, we have achieved a precision landing here," praised Nag. The company operates 90 logistics locations nationwide for well-known industrial and retail customers. In the coming months, a multi-user center will be built on the approximately 10-hectare site in the Monsheim-Ost industrial park, which will create space for various customers and sectors on a total storage area of 55,000 square meters and a mezzanine floor (mezzanine) with 9,000 square meters. Nag was pleased to report that there have already been numerous inquiries from companies wishing to secure space in the multicube rheinhessen.

Intra says: Courageous

Anyone who wants to realize a logistics center like the multicube rheinhessen needs a lot of things: land, compatible local politicians, capital and optimism. pfenning logistics wants to continue the concept in Monsheim near Worms after the first multicube and further establish itself as a logistics service provider that can also "do" logistics real estate. The concept that is now being realized here is very promising!

Completion at the end of the 1st quarter of 2019

"We are particularly pleased that by creating numerous new jobs, we can not only help to secure the future of the region, but also give many people new job prospects," says Nag. With a market volume of more than 260 billion euros, logistics is not only Germany's third-largest industry, but also an important driver of our country's prosperity and economic strength. The multicube rheinhessen should be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

The pfenning logistics group is a medium-sized full-service provider managed by Karl-Martin Pfenning, the third generation of the Pfenning family to own the company. The company, which employs 3,300 people at 90 locations in Germany, is based in Heddesheim, Baden-Württemberg. Known as a contract logistics provider, the group has successively expanded its product portfolio in recent years. Today, the company includes a nationwide personnel service provider and a car dealership trading group that equips and services company fleets with vehicles and commercial vehicles.

Innovation and specialization

This is what it should look like: Simulation of the multicube rheinhessen. Completion is planned for 2019.

For more than 85 years, pfenning logistics has been providing services based on its own network structure: With a fleet of 650 trucks and a total storage area of 290,000 m², the company sees itself as the backbone of its customers' logistics. According to the company, it delivers "solutions that ensure stable merchandise management cycles, guarantee an excellent price-performance ratio and pave the way for market success". In the extremely dynamic market environment of retail logistics, pfenning logistics is one of the leading service providers in Germany. But other sectors also rely on the expertise of the Heddesheim-based company: several special warehouses have been set up and operated for the chemical industry, the automotive industry and the food industry, which meet the highest safety and hygiene standards and are certified accordingly. With the multicube rhein-neckar, pfenning logistics has also developed an innovative, multi-award-winning multi-user concept that leaves room for individual forms of use and sustainable requirements.
