The central exhibit at SICK's Logimat stand was a rotary roller conveyor, which the company used to highlight challenges and solutions relating to the automated picking of articles and materials.

At the heart of the system are two robots that use different camera technologies to demonstrate how to reach into the crate. The objects are identified and the robots are given plausible coordinates for gripping. A miniature vision sensor uses deep learning algorithms to check the small load carriers for damage, thus ensuring a trouble-free process. The latest camera-based code reader, whose resolution and depth of field have been improved by a factor of 2.5, identifies the objects in the load carriers. The dynamic measurement of the container fill level is implemented with a 3D snapshot sensor. Various IO-Link sensors monitor the current operating status of the exhibit.
