Rulmeca presented two new roller assemblies for unit load handling at CeMAT
They are designed to be driven by Poly-V belts in accordance with ISO 9981 DIN 7867 and offer a transmission system that is connected to the roller tube without additional couplings. For this purpose, the tube end is compressed and cold-pressed to create a form-fit connection without significant tolerances between the 1.5 millimeter thick metal tube with a diameter of 50 millimeters and the plastic plug of the transmission system. The construction of previous designs was more complex and therefore more expensive. "Rulmeca has succeeded in reconciling two properties that are actually contradictory: a robust design with a slimmer, cost-efficient structure without additional intermediate components. Our customers will appreciate this, because every component is a cost factor in the construction of unit load conveyors with rollers driven by Poly-V belts. Anyone who can offer cost-efficient designs here will be ahead in the series production business," explains Andreas Flies, Sales Manager Unit Handling at Rulmeca Germany.
