Hörmann Logistik acquires majority stake in Klatt Fördertechnik
The general contractor Hörmann Logistik has taken over the Austrian intralogistics company Klatt Fördertechnik. The merger is intended to strengthen the core competencies of both companies and create synergies.
Hörmann Logistik will continue Klatt's general contractor business, while Klatt Fördertechnik will expand the partnership for its end customers and integrators. The two companies are particularly active in the SME sector. "We are looking forward to a successful future with Hörmann Logistik," says Peter Klatt, Managing Director of the company of the same name.
Using synergy effects for rapid growth
The two companies want to benefit from their different strengths. Hörmann, for example, sees itself as particularly effective in the integration of various trades into an overall system with the project planning of systems, project management, automation technology and the warehouse management system "Hörmann intra Logistics System", HiLIS for short. Klatt Fördertechnik sees itself in particular as a high-performance full-range supplier of conveyor technology for pallets, containers, cartons and custom-made products with imaginative designs and proven products in the premium segment.
High-quality timing belt technology, patented for air luggage transportation
Klatt Fördertechnik also wants to continue to set high standards with its timing belt technology in roller conveyors for pallet conveyor technology. These are characterized by low noise levels, low maintenance requirements and high availability. One of the company's unique selling points is that Klatt Fördertechnik holds a patent for a system for automatically aligning items of baggage in the baggage handling sector. The system aligns items of baggage - regardless of weight, color and shape - with an alignment rate of almost 100%.
