Torwegge intensifies business with small and light roller conveyors
Torwegge GmbH und Co KG has reported increased interest in small and lightweight roller conveyors (KLB). The East Westphalian supplier of conveyor technology produces and sells roller conveyors specially designed for light and small loads from its Bielefeld site. With the production of individual components such as rails, rollers or support frames as well as complete conveyor systems, Torwegge guarantees customized solutions.
"There is a need for small and lightweight roller conveyors wherever a certain number of individual boxes or crates have to be handled, i.e. in almost every company," says Uwe Eschment, Managing Director of Torwegge GmbH und Co KG. The roller conveyors are used across all industries in packaging lines, for feeding in assembly, for transporting or buffering goods manually or on inclines.
While small roller conveyors are particularly suitable for small and light goods due to the small distance between their idlers, light roller conveyors are used for larger packages and loads of up to around 50 kilograms, as their idlers have a larger diameter and therefore a greater center distance. As the roller conveyors have a smaller diameter and are narrower than conventional systems of this type, less material is required. Customers therefore benefit from lower investment costs. In addition, the space requirement is adapted to the rather small conveyor units, which benefits the overall building design and use of space.
