Heidkamp hoists: Service meets tradition - for 80 years
With 80 years of experience in the industry, Heidkamp Hebezeuge today stands for advice, a comprehensive wholesale range and service. The company's history began back in 1938 in Velbert, from where Hans Heidkamp initially sold BKS chain hoists to coal mines in the Ruhr region. The "point of sale" at that time was the trunk of his car, but this quickly became too small. Gradually, the company founder added more products to his range and moved into his first business premises in Velbert. He quickly established the name Heidkamp Hebezeuge in the coal and steel industry in North Rhine-Westphalia. After almost 30 years of success, the then managing director and grandfather of the current owner, Karl Taddey, took over the company in 1966 and established an extensive product portfolio covering all aspects of lifting equipment, hydraulic products, slings and load handling equipment. In addition, a repair and testing service was established, thus anchoring the topic of "service" in the company's philosophy. In the mid-seventies, the company headquarters were moved from Velbert to Heiligenhaus, where the company is still located today.
