Habasit Germany is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Hesse-based company is part of the Swiss Habasit AG. Today, the company's product range includes all types of conveyor belts, from fabric belts and plastic slat-band chains to plastic modular belts.
There will also be drive and timing belts as well as a wide range of belt accessories. Habasit is bringing an extensive portfolio of timing belts as well as process and conveyor belts to Fachpack 2024 in Nuremberg. According to the supplier, these are designed to ensure safe transportation and precise timing in packaging processes. The exhibitor's trade fair highlights include the HabasitLink M2483 modular belt with integrated ball design. Thanks to the balls, goods can be transferred in any direction. This opens up new possibilities for the user in terms of transportation and handling. Sorting and diverting in any direction can be achieved without the use of guide rails. It is also possible, for example, to combine different product flows on the module; single or multi-track flows can be set up. The option of rotating parts on the module is interesting. It is also possible to correct products that are not optimally aligned. The balls in the module are driven by one or more separate activation belts that run under the module. The closed design also makes it difficult for dirt to penetrate.
