The company was acquired due to Daifuku's increasing order volume in the Indian market. Daifuku has had a subsidiary in India since 2005 and has also had a sales office in Mumbai for the FA/DA sector since 2016.

Creating synergies
The growth of the Indian economy has led to a steady increase in the need for automation in manufacturing and logistics. Daifuku is using the acquisition of Vega to create synergies between the development and production sites in India's growing market. In this way, Daifuku guarantees prompt and efficient production of intralogistics systems that are only exposed to short transportation times. Indian customers can thus be served even better.

"We are delighted to now be a part of Daifuku," explains Garimelle Srinivas, Managing Director of Vega. "By merging our resources, we can further optimize and expand our services for the intralogistics sector in India." Vega's administrative headquarters and production and technology center will remain at the existing locations in India.
