Logimat 2024
Stow Group showcases automation and robotics
Stow Group is putting its new Movu Robotics brand in the spotlight at Logimat 2024. Movu will be showcasing a dynamic technology presentation of its state-of-the-art robotic subsystems at its stand.
For the first time ever, Movu will present a live end-to-end material flow at Logimat, demonstrating how Movu's automated subsystems can work together as an integrated end-to-end solution. The process begins with the Movu escala, a shuttle solution that enables dense, automated storage and retrieval of containers. Shuttles move containers in all three dimensions within the escala, with each point connected by a sophisticated rail track.
Live showcase: Automatic picking arm robot
The robots move along the rails two-dimensionally through a level and can move between levels via ramps - similar to a car driving to the next level of a parking garage. This eliminates the need for high-maintenance conveyor belts, elevators, access to service aisles and sequencers. The totes are automatically delivered from inside the escala to a goods-to-person workstation, where the integrated Movu-eligo picking arm robot automatically picks item by item from a tote to place individual items into mixed SKU totes on a pallet. The totes are positioned on a Movu-ifollow AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot).
Intelligent gripper
By combining software with intelligent grippers and machine learning, Movu eligo, the latest member of the Movu product family, ensures high-performance throughput. The grippers work with an accuracy of more than 99 percent and reduce the number of manual "touches" required for order processing or replenishment.
The ifollow-AMR mobile robot enables a wide range of tasks to be performed autonomously and can optionally support collaborative picking processes together with an order picker. The pallet transported on the ifollow is received in the highly efficient Movu atlas pallet shuttle subsystem, which is based on a storage rack. Visitors to Logimat will be able to see how the Movu software coordinates and monitors the shuttles and mobile robots, ensuring a smooth material flow with real-time visibility of the system.
