Mobile Industrial Robots and CSi palletizing cooperate

Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) and CSi palletising are working together to facilitate the internal flow of materials for companies in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods/Consumer Packaged Goods (FMCG/CPG) sector. The first joint solution includes CSi palletising's Taros palletizer with roller conveyor, which is integrated with Mobile Industrial Robots' new MiR1350.

The MiR1350 is equipped with a top module with roller conveyor for plate pick-up. This allows the transport of heavy pallets in FMCG/CPG systems to be fully automated. CSi palletizing already presented the solution at Fachpack 2021.

CSi palletising from the Netherlands offers complete end-of-line palletizing solutions in the FMCG/CPG sector. Until now, the company has integrated its Taros palletizer with roller conveyors to transport finished products directly to a stretcher or into the warehouse. For solutions without a direct roller conveyor connection, onward transportation at the customer's premises was often carried out manually. CSi palletising now integrates MiR's AMR to transport pallets for storage to a single conveyor or to the infeed of a pallet wrapper. The complete solution works seamlessly with the customer's automation systems (ERP/WMS).

"Inflexible infrastructures are no longer fit for purpose. This also includes roller conveyors, which are difficult to convert if the system requirements change. For this reason, we were looking for a more autonomous and flexible way to transport finished goods," says Jan de Bruijn, CEO of the CSi Group. "Autonomous mobile robots offer this flexibility and make it possible to fully automate palletizing workflows efficiently. With MiR as our partner, we are launching the next generation of palletizing for FMCG companies worldwide."

New application possibilities for AMR
"CSi palletizing systems are already directly integrated into the customer's production process. This makes the integration of our AMR basically seamless," said Vladimir Vovk, Global Accounts Director for FMCG at Mobile Industrial Robots. "More and more companies are recognizing the benefits of mobile robots, such as flexibility, increased safety and increased productivity. At the same time, more and more applications are opening up. We have found that the options are almost endless. Together with CSi, we can help companies in the FMCG/CPG sector to discover them."
