TGW Logistics builds three-aisle shuttle warehouse
Albert Kerbl GmbH is expanding its logistics center in the Bavarian municipality of Ampfing by October 2025. The family-owned company, which produces and distributes products for animal breeding and husbandry, relies on the experience and expertise of TGW Logistics.
The aim of the project is to continue to offer customers an optimum level of service in the future, significantly reduce order throughput times and increase efficiency. At the heart of the FlashPick system is a three-aisle shuttle warehouse with 90,000 storage locations, an automated pallet high-bay warehouse and ergonomic PickCenter One picking workstations.
The various areas of the plant are connected with energy-efficient KingDrive conveyor technology, and all processes are controlled and monitored by the TGW Warehouse software. The automation thus enables shorter order throughput times, increases efficiency and also provides an answer to the labor shortage.
