Multi-solution concepts for fully automated intralogistics
Logimat 2024 will be a highlight for Hörmann, as the trends of multi-solution, e-grocery and heavy-duty warehousing will be presented and discussed.
Last year, Hörmann finalized a comprehensive multi-solution intralogistics system at iDM in Matrei, Austria, as well as the first two e-grocery micro-fulfillment solutions for bottled mail. Here, Hörmann has combined the different temperature zones "Ambient" and "Chilled" in the innovative design of the Autostore system in such a way that it is possible to pick dry and chilled goods from both systems for one order. The intralogistics specialists can also expect many challenging tasks in 2024. In addition to the expansion of autostore activities, the focus will be on further customized multi-solution systems that combine high-bay storage and small parts storage installations.
At the heart of these solutions is the Hilis warehouse management system. The application ensures that the requested goods from asynchronous, different warehouse areas arrive synchronously at the picking station. Hilis handles warehouse management, system control and system visualization for both automated and manual warehouses and communicates with the customer system via an interface. The topic of heavy-load storage will also play a major role.
