After more than three decades of industry experience in intralogistics, Volker Knuff, Managing Director of Aberle Logistics GmbH, Leingarten, retired at the beginning of 2019. "I am very touched by Volker Knuff's departure," explains Andreas Ebert, Managing Director of Aberle GmbH, summing up Knuff's services to the company. "We are all deeply indebted to Volker Knuff. He is leaving the company as a far-sighted mastermind. It is thanks to his many years of service, his know-how and his commitment that Aberle has established itself as an outstanding system integrator and general contractor on the national and international market. We are delighted that he will continue to be available to Aberle in an advisory capacity.

On January 1, Jörg Wurlitzer took over from Volker Knuff as Managing Director of Aberle Logistics GmbH. He is regarded as a proven expert in the industry. Since graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1991, he has concentrated on intralogistics. Before joining the management of Aberle Logistics GmbH, he held various positions as Sales Manager, Project Manager and Sales Director at SSI Schäfer Automation, where he was responsible for the management of worldwide automation projects in intralogistics. This also included the development of new sales territories as well as the recruiting and management of international project teams.

At the same time as joining the company, Aberle Logistics GmbH has opened a further 700^m2 site in the Mainfrankenpark industrial estate in Dettelbach near Würzburg. "In addition to Aberle Logistics, the new location in Dettelbach will also function as a competence center for system design for Körber Logistics Systems worldwide," emphasizes Jörg Wurlitzer, who will manage Aberle Logistics GmbH in his new role from Dettelbach. "I am looking forward to the tasks and challenges ahead. Based on the proven, cooperative corporate structures and an outstanding team of experts, we will continue to generate significant growth impetus in the future with market- and industry-specific solutions and continue Aberle's success story".
