Online retail is booming in China and is also placing ever greater demands on logistics there. In 2016, 31 billion parcels were delivered, compared to around 42 billion last year. Krister Sandvoss, Global Director CeMAT worldwide, explains: "We have a very strong response this year and are expecting exhibitors from more than 20 countries, which is another significant increase compared to last year and once again underlines the outstanding position of CeMAT ASIA in the Chinese market." Increasingly networked production is also bringing about a change in material flows and supply chains. In 2017, intralogistics products worth 600.3 million euros were exported to China from Germany alone.

Trade fair visitors can find out about new products from national and international companies. The e-commerce company JD.com will be represented at CeMAT ASIA for the first time. The company has more than 300 million customers and is one of the Chinese heavyweights in online retail alongside Alibaba. Logistics robots and driverless transport systems will occupy two halls at CeMAT ASIA this year. Industrial trucks and accessories are another important area of the trade fair. The CITIA China Industrial Vehicle Innovation Awards Ceremony is eagerly awaited. This important event for the forklift truck industry in China will be held as part of CeMAT ASIA.
