Peter Ahlers becomes new Managing Director of the Knapen Group
The Krone Commercial Vehicle Group has appointed Peter Ahlers (54) as Managing Director with effect from August 1, 2019. Ahlers will take over the management of the Knapen Group based in Deurne, the Netherlands, which has been part of the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group since July, and in this role will report directly to the Krone Holding Management Board. Peter Joosten, previous owner of the Knapen Group, will also remain Managing Director.
Ahlers, who was born in Lingen, studied mechanical engineering, specializing in production technology. "After many years of managing a family business in the manufacture of connecting elements for power cables and its successful integration into a large multinational listed company, Ahlers embodies precisely the solution orientation and down-to-earth attitude that is so characteristic of Krone. In this respect, we are delighted to welcome Mr. Ahlers to the Knapen Krone team," says Bernard Krone.
