As a result of the acquisition, customers will benefit from the Jöbstl Group's transports in the future, particularly with regard to European general cargo transports.

"With the portfolio of the Jöbstl Group, we are complementing our service offering for customers in the region and strategically expanding our overland network," comments Uwe Hött, Head of Kuehne + Nagel's overland business in Europe. "Kuehne + Nagel already offers a comprehensive connection to all business locations in the region with more than 130 overland bases throughout Europe. The integration of the Jöbstl network will allow us to further increase the density of transport services and in particular the connections to neighboring countries, thus increasing departure frequencies and shortening transit times. Our SME customers in particular can benefit from the expansion of this range of services."

The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities. In the course of the acquisition, 100% of the shares in SLM Spedition und Logistik GmbH will also be transferred to Kuehne + Nagel.
