Schneeberger appointed member of the Management Board and Chief Digital Officer at Kion

Frankfurt/Main, July 2, 2018 - The Supervisory Board of the Kion Group has appointed Susanna Schneeberger (44) as a member of the Executive Board for five years with effect from October 1, 2018. Schneeberger will assume strategic responsibility for the Supply Chain Solutions segment and, as Chief Digital Officer, will also be responsible for activities relating to the digitalization and networking of products and processes, as well as the further development of IT systems. The Executive Board department that she will oversee in future has been newly created.

She was most recently Executive Vice President of Konecranes Plc, where she was responsible for Group strategy, M&A and business development, among other things, as a member of the Management Board. She has been CEO and Managing Director at Demag since 2015.

Gordon Riske, Chief Executive Officer, said: "Susanna Schneeberger will further expand the KION Group's leading position in the market for supply chain solutions and use her extensive experience in digitalization to drive forward the Group's digital transformation. I am very much looking forward to working with Susanna Schneeberger."

She also held various management positions at Trelleborg AB from 2007 to 2014, initially as Director Strategic Business Development and since 2011 as Vice President Sales & Marketing for the Industrial Solutions division.
